Dr. Abdelrahman Elnafie is a Senior Consultant in SASLO’s Dispute Resolution team with extensive expertise in handling complex litigation and arbitration cases. With a distinguished legal career spanning over four decades, he has established himself as a leading authority in commercial law, taxation, and corporate matters in Oman and the wider MENA region including Commercial and Corporate Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Appellate Advocacy, Commercial Litigation, Competition and Antitrust, Energy Litigation, Foreign Investment Litigation, Financial Services Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Real Estate Litigation and Dispute Resolution.

Throughout his career, Dr. Elnafie has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the legal field. He received a Chambers Global Band 1 Ranking in Dispute Resolution in Oman for his exceptional technical knowledge and effectiveness. His skills as a litigator and arbitrator extend across various legal systems and jurisdictions, including ICC, UNCITRAL, ICSID, GCC, and ad hoc arbitrations. He has served as an expert in Omani and Sudanese law before international courts and arbitration panels, including UK Courts, the Paris Arbitral Tribunal, the Islamic Corporation organization's Arbitration Panel, and many ad hoc arbitrations in Oman.

Dr. Elnafie's diverse experience includes advising governments, multinational corporations, financial institutions, and high net worth individuals. His contributions in various sectors, such as automotive, finance, and real estate, have earned him a reputation for providing strategic counsel and delivering successful outcomes. He is the most experienced tax lawyer in the Sultanate of Oman, and has handled more than 40 tax cases on different legal issues, through different litigation stages.

Having lectured at the Faculty of Law, University of Khartoum-Sudan, he is passionate about sharing his expertise with the next generation of legal minds. Dr. Elnafie has published extensively in the field of law and policy and conducted numerous seminars.

He is a bilingual lawyer, proficient in both Arabic and English.
