SASLO has announced the appointment of Malcolm Dickinson as its first Chief Executive Officer. Malcolm is a successful law firm leader with particular expertise in strategy. He is a UK qualified corporate lawyer with over 25 years’ experience and was the Managing Partner of a major UK law firm for the last 10 years.
Malcolm said: “I am very pleased and excited to be joining SASLO as CEO. I was particularly attracted to the Firm by its ambition and culture. There is a real desire within the leaders of the Firm to play a part in the successful economic, social and cultural growth of Oman. 2020 was obviously a difficult year for our clients both in Oman and globally. I am however very proud of how the firm has been able to serve those clients during the pandemic. Although the coming few months will undoubtedly be challenging - I look forward towards the end of the year with optimism and hope to meet as many clients and business colleagues as possible”
Malcolm has a law degree from the University of Cambridge and has also attended Harvard Business School for its Law Firm Leaders course. He is a UK qualified corporate lawyer with over 25 years’ experience and was the Managing Partner of a major UK law firm for the last 10 years. He also has a particular interest in strategic Chinese business investment having acted for Chinese corporates, law firms and State-owned companies. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking and is looking forward to exploring the trails of Oman. He is also a keen yachtsman and has competed in several global offshore races.
